REVIEW - 5:48 (by Chloe Cheng)

This book has been on my mind pretty much since the day I've picked it, it's been tucked away in my mind pretty much every second, of every minute of every day. I cannot get enough of Chloe Cheng's writing. This story has been been the beginning, it's opened my eyes up wider than I thought imaginable, she's really opened my eyes up to my own depression and exactly how it affects me. And even to the extent of how I affect others, which even though you think about you don't actually realise is quite damaging. It's definitely not a story for the weak hearted, or weak minded.

I definitely feel like you need a back bone, to be able to get through the emotional journey that this story will take you on. And don't be afraid to open up, there is so much more out there.

Without a doubt this has to be one of my favourite books of the moment, I would highly recommend it to any person who wants a decent read. It's incredible, and it does really open your eyes to an entire new way of life. Which for some people could be really useful, as they don't really see the behind the scenes of some people's anxieties or depression. Or any form of mental health, it would be empowering for people to read it for that very reason.

I would have to rate this story a solid - 5 / 5

If you would like to read this story, I would recommend you visit her story on the Wattpad website. This is the link right here: https://www.wattpad.com/8540657-5-48-re-writing-extended-summary

NEW PROJECT: In Between

What would you all do if I told you I had a secret project on the go, and the only hint you get is the cover? To be fair I say the cover but I'll probably change it about a hundred times before I'm happy with it. I have been working on a new kind of story, which I'm quite in love with in the moment, it's a nice between happiness and hell.

I've already started delving into the story and am planning to write roughly 1000 words a day, more if I can. Wish me luck, and depending on how it goes I'll look into uploading it to Wattpad as soon as possible. Well, maybe.

Would you like to see the cover?

Well, here it is:

Trying Again

I have been working on another blog recently and I have finally got in to a place where I am comfortable to do it again, and don't feel completely pressured into doing it. I have been focusing mainly on that blog, and journalling again, which is a refreshing turn of events. However, this blog has been catching my eye more often than not, which is probably why I am working on this post now. I just want to get back into writing, bringing my stories back to life and what better way to do that, than to start blogging and planning again?

I know it's going to take a lot of time, and I have to be patient, but I want to do this and it's that determination that is keeping me going at the moment. I would love to get back on Wattpad as well, but I'm thinking one step at a time. I want to share my writing, but before I do that I have to write it. Which, couldn't be more obvious but at the same time it's true. I have to start again, and really commit. Whereas, before I honestly didn't commit.

I shall show you my other blog as well, I'll make sure to leave a link at the bottom of this blog post, I would also like to know. Do you any of you ever suffer from a strong sense of writer's block? Because it has definitely been an incredibly difficult thing to get over, it's like the blockage in my brain wouldn't shift, not even for a second. I haven't even been able to commit to reading, but I think a little of that has something to do with my depression, which I usually can handle pretty well. But as of lately, it's been controlling my life - more so than I care to admit to. I would love to see if any of you have to tackle depression as well. Do you have any advice?

I always reading articles and blog posts, searching for some answers.  I am taking anti-depressants as well but I'm still in the early stages of it and have a long way to go before it'll be making much different. Although, I must be having some good effects from it, as I am writing again. It's not the main type of writing I want to be doing, but however it is a start. Which I can only hope will develop into more.

I'll be doing my best to update this blog more, though I can't promise it'll be extremely regular as I haven't much content to offer for the moment. But as I get more and more into writing, I shall slowly start sharing ideas and artwork with you and also just showing you my process of writing. And anything else I have to offer.

I am so glad to be back, what do we think of the new image as well?

Do we like?

See you soon,

I Am A Girl Obsessed

I am completely obsessed.

I feel like books are my life at the moment, I can't get enough of reading, or finding more books to buy and just listening to books.

I've downloaded a few apps that I basically spend all of my time on, I just love each one.

The first one, of course had to be:

Goodreads

This app is just brilliant. I scanned in every book I own and now I can actually keep an eye on which ones I've read and which ones I haven't.

I've decided to start again with reading my books, I've managed to work my way through two so far.

Which is: The girl with all the gifts and then of course On Dublin street.

Both of these books are incredible and highly recommend both, I'm currently reading Panic which from what I've read so far, is extremely good.

Which actually leads me on to my next app, Audible. This app is amazing, I've signed up for the 30 day trial for the moment and I've downloaded Fifty shades of grey which I've been meaning to read again for a while.

This app makes it easier for me to work through two books at the same time. I can listen to one on my travels to work and what not, and the other one I can read in my spare time at home.

As you can see as well I've downloaded some free samples, which is always good to see if I like the stories, then maybe I'll download them.

The other apps that I've only recently downloaded are: iBooks and of course, Kindle.

This way I can get even more of a variety of books to download and read on the go, they look like this.

I'm already gathering a collection of books to read in the near future. I honestly cannot wait.

I'll keep you guys posted.

New Blog

Hello everyone,

Okay recently I tried to quit my course at Plymouth University, but I've had some trouble trying. Apparently it's not that easy any more, as I want to attend another course at the University I have to complete at least my first year before doing so. So, I've had a lovely long talk (an hour and half, long talk) with the course leader and he's persuaded me to stay on the course, but barely.

It was a very emotional talk and has caused me to reflect on myself as a person, as well as my work. I have now got to complete the last 8 weeks of work to complete the first year, it shouldn't be too bad. Although the year is already part way through a project which I will have to catch up on. So what I'm going to do is, stop.

And just start again.

It's going to be so difficult, but I have to stay positive. I'm going to be making myself a new blog to be able to keep my frustrations in check, and I'm going to be attending University every single day of the week. This is going to be extremely stressful but I'm going to have to push it aside.

So let's get to business.

I'm going to be making another blog today, just something simple to post on, to vent any frustrations. Once I've done all the work I need to, then I shall be looking into decorating the blog and turning it into something a little more snazzy, so to speak.

Until then, I shall try and update you on this blog about my writing, and I shall also be updating you on my weight watching blog as well. Although I have to go back to University it doesn't mean that I have to stop going gym.

Chat to you soon.

Small Mercies Widget

STORY INFO: Small Mercies

It's incredibly how one story can stop you dead in your tracks, and I truly believe that is what happened with myself and Small Mercies I could only focus on Dreams Series for a while but then suddenly, everything changed.

Small Mercies has consumed me whole, it's all I can think about. I attempted to work on the next chapter of Dreams and I just couldn't focus, not even slightly. All I can think about is this Paranormal/Horror that I've suddenly begun re-writing. It's an unusual story.

It's the type of story I'd usually write, it's definitely more dark, aggressive and mentally disturbing. But there is a layer of strange that has drawn me in, kept me wondering. I just can't seem to think of a decent enough storyline, which worries me.

I really want this story to be a good one, it's just trying to create one that is in fact good. I have made myself a new cover though, he is all of the covers I've actually had for this story so far. I hope they are improving, you could always leave me a comment if you think I am.

I've put them all in order of how I've designed them and I actually adore the image I've used for the latest one, it's got such an incredible look to it, it's unbelievably. I must find the photographer and make sure they get full thanks for the incredible image, which fits perfectly with the story.

If you would like to read my favourite story at the moment, I have two chapters up at the moment and am currently working on the next chapter. It's already having a strange turn, but it's definitely going to be interesting.
